070: Codblast V: The End (?)

Despite the publishing date, this comic is not a joke! Wait-
This comic only took four hours! I feel like I earned a comic with no backgrounds, and the type really needed to be the star here. I settled on ‘O Captain My Captain’ by Walk Whitman since it was public domain, not too long (I only used about 30% of it any way) and had the emotionality that I was looking for. I think the joke of “he’s sad because there’s no more gross drink” works really well in this four-panel format.
Obviously I’m going to keep making Codblast comics…eventually. With only 30 comics left I’m not sure I’ll complete a full ‘six-pack’. I do enjoy the ‘side story’ aspect, and it’s encouraging me to try more of these if/when I continue after comic 100.
