001: Beginnings

The first comic was barely a proof of concept. Robot talks to old man, hilarity ensues! I never intended it to stay this simple, but I wanted to start small. There was already a much larger plan for characters, settings, and even storylines.
The art style was also completely unexplored at this point. I almost wish I’d kept this much simpler, flatter style looking back on it. The style and character designs would evolve over the next 10-20 comics.
I wasn’t afraid of posting this, even though it was barely a comic. Forcing myself to post makes it ‘done’, and helps you to move on to the next idea. I may go back and redo these early comics, but I think it’s nice to have a record of my early attempts.
