006: Ideas v. Assholes

Now I have some idea of the style I’m trying to execute, and it is turning out to be fun and achievable! So comics start to roll out every week or so from here on in. I’ve mostly nailed the ‘newsprint’ style, except for the inking a bit. I’ve been lettering with this style for a few comics, and it isn’t working for me.
This comic was inspired by the random throwaway line from the previous comic. I just randomly had that thought, wrote it down, and later expanded it into this full comic. Easy! Well, this time it actually felt really natural, even if the joke isn’t super funny.
I do like the ‘double joke’ I get out of these four panels. I definitely love getting more comedy per comic. I also thought I could keep coming up with these jokes easily and quickly. How wrong I was! But I just kept going.
