038: In Arms Way

Finally, we get to see a new character! My concept for this comic always had four characters, as per the Ninja Turtle and/or Seinfeld theories. I started with the old man and the robot—now named Sam and Roy—because I thought it was the easiest pairing to get good test comics. After 37 comics, it’s finally time to add to this little universe!
We will learn all about this goose as time goes on. I’ve already written a few general comics beyond this ‘introduction’ arc, and I’m quite enjoying the chemistry between the three characters already. Roy represents innocence, ignorance, and curiosity. Sam represents wisdom, humility, and caretaking. The goose? So far I’ve got hubris, cynicism, and gruffness. There’s a lot going on below the surface, but he’s definitely going to start out as the saltiest goose that ever goose’d!
Does he speak? What’s his name? What does he want with the arm??? Find out later this week (maybe!)
