062: Skillful ignorance

I really struggled with the writing of this comic. I wanted to give some hints as to the origin of the statue, and at one point had a partial inscription to reveal. I threw out those ideas and just went with the core idea: implicate Sam. What’s his connection to the statue? Why did he destroy it?
Where is the rest?
None of these questions I currently have proper answers to. I have the initial “Oh that would be a good thing to include” concept… but turning that into a proper plot line is going to be a whole thing.
I’ve actually ditched almost every story line except the “main” trunk for the rest of the comic. I just wanted to cut the fat and focus on a ‘journey’ of some kind. We’ll see where it goes…I still don’t have a lot of answers for myself!
I need to write the last 8 comics of this ‘arc’, and then it’s 30 comics straight to the finish line. There’s very few “filler” comics, which I treat as small interludes between larger sequences. I’m looking forward to more of those? But also splitting the “plot” storylines into something…bigger? More betterer?
