075: In-tree-ductions

We finally have a panel with all four characters! Two, in fact! Still working on my confidence drawing Laurel, but I think these work. I am introducing one of her quirks: She will quietly correct grammar even if it’s debatably not necessary. I’m trying to show that she’s very smart, but also socially awkward.
I think I’ve shown the contrast between Sam and the other characters by now. Sam is hiding something, so I’m using as many ways as possible to hint at it. The other characters are more open, honest, and forthcoming. But whyyyyyyy….
I actually don’t know! I haven’t quite figured that out yet. I think I have…but I keep second-guessing the direction I’m thinking of going. The good part is, if you are deliberately obtuse, you don’t have to know right away!
