077: Sappy Puns

One of two ‘interlude’ comics before the final chapter! I’m doing a couple one-on-ones so each character gets an interaction with Laurel. Helps establish their dynamic and also flesh out her range of emotions. I want them all to be able to make very ‘comic’ faces, but I’m going to work up to that with her. For now…a smile, a bit of a wry look and a giggle.
I think I’m starting to get the hang of drawing my new character. Like with the others the original designs get a little refined over the first bunch of comics. Mostly little elements get simplified or removed entirely. If I’m several panels on before I realize I’ve forgotten an earring or a leaf, it’s not worth keeping.
