091: If {fall} else {fails}

I had the final panel of this comic for MONTHS, appearing in the original drafts as “Panel 4: They all fall through the floor”. The other three panels barely came together before this week! A lot of the time I get the final panel/punchline and work backwards. I’m sure other comedy writers would agree… if I knew any.

I like that I’m highlighting a few character traits here. First, the three other characters cannot get along under pressure. They all think they know what’s best. Secondly, Sam isn’t in control of them at this point. Trying to do subtle character development that probably would only be noticeable to people that read the entire thing. Not entirely sure where each character will land but so far Roy = Anxious, Laurel = Avoidant, Kevin = Angry. Where I can I highlight those three characteristics for now. You might notice some if you go back.
