092: Far From Total Recall

This comic was written wayyyyyy back, but it didn’t fit into the last couple arcs so it sits in my “random ideas” file. I knew the characters needed to be reunited after being separated, so it made sense to have a comic with the characters by themselves. So this is the first of three chances to show some character traits (Roy is anxious) and maybe tell a joke at the same time. This is the goal of this series, after all.
I actually re-wrote 3/4 of this comic *after* starting to draw it. Panel 3 got changed at the very last minute. I just wasn’t hammering home that Roy wasn’t listening to the important part of Sam’s conversation. I hope that’s clearer now.
I hate this background. I’m going for comic strip brevity. Don’t draw every brick. Draw the impression of bricks. I feel like I’m failing miserably. And I re-ink it several times before giving up.
