093: Breaking Mad

October 26, 2024

The second in the little ‘solo’ trilogy of single character comics. I would have thought this one would take much less time but here we are after another 8 hours.

I’ve noticed the smallest imperfection in how my final rendered comics are coming out. It’s the tiniest flaw and if I pointed it out to even a professional they’d probably have a hard time noticing it. Once you add JPEG compression it’s absolutely not a factor, but I know. And it burns me up in side.

This comic is about anger. Kevin is full of it, and expresses it as often as possible. There’s fully a riddle for the door, but he’s having none of it. Can a goose kick down a wooden door? I feel like there’s enough rage there.

The secondary gag is the anger nearly leads to him being crushed by a falling column! I feel like this is how my great grandfather died – from anger. He was repairing a chicken coop and it collapsed on him. I believe he got frustrated, hit something, and that caused the collapse.

Comedy and tragedy are sister arts!
