094: Walk with We

Another one! My students are going to hate me when I tell them my marking is piling up again. But…comics!
Fittingly enough, this one is about avoidance. I think it’s either totally obvious and way too on-the-nose, or so weird and obscure that you’d never be able to understand the artist’s message. Like Eddie Vedder covering Bob Dylan. Totally unintelligible.
We all have things about our life or ourselves that we choose to ignore. I think Laurel is going to become the sort of embodiment of that behaviour. There’s depression and other factors in there, so hopefully I can give it a little more nuance and tact.
Or it’s just funny that the traps don’t seem to bother her. Like she’s been dealing with this stuff for quite some time, and it’s just part of her normal existence.
